St. Lawrence College will Confer Four Honorary Diplomas at Convocation Ceremonies This Spring 
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is thrilled to announce its Honorary Diploma recipients for 2025. They will be conferred at convocation ceremonies beginning Friday, June 6 in Brockville. "It gives us great pleasure to present these Honorary Diplomas to such exceptional individuals from across Eastern Ontario," said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO. "Having them share their remarkable journeys and motivational messages to our graduating class during our Convocation ceremonies is moving and inspirational. I extend my sincere congratulations to each recipient on behalf of SLC and our Board of Governors." 
SLC Students Win Big at Provincial Skills Competition
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is proud to announce that three of its students have earned medals at the Skills Ontario competition held May 5-7, 2025, in Toronto.  SLC was represented by a total of 11 student competitors across various technical disciplines, demonstrating the SLC's commitment to excellence in skilled trades and technology education. 
SLC Obtains Certification to Train Millwright Apprentices in Cornwall
St. Lawrence College is working to bring trades and apprenticeship training to Cornwall to help address the projected retirement of 700,000 skilled tradespeople across Canada by 2028, and the increasing demand for trained Millwrights in Eastern Ontario. The college is proud to announce its Cornwall campus has obtained Training Delivery Agent (TDA) status for its Industrial Mechanic Millwright program.  
Canada’s Logistics Agency and SLC Celebrate Supply Chain Leadership in Cornwall

Ontario’s Small, Northern and Rural Colleges Join Forces to Advance  Ontario’s Role as Canada’s Economic Engine 
North Bay – April 8, 2025 – As Ontario faces the economic impacts of changing U.S.- Canada dynamics, 11 of the province’s small, northern and rural colleges are partnering to launch the Ontario Regional Economic Workforce and Innovation Network  (OREWIN). This coalition is focused on advancing regional solutions to protect Ontario,  its communities, its workers, and its industries.
