Statement from St. Lawrence College and Alpha College of Business and Technology
As St. Lawrence College (SLC) and our partner Alpha College of Business and Technology (Alpha) have worked to return processes and operations to where they were prior to the pandemic, we encountered issues with volumes that impacted service levels and negatively impacted our students, and for that we apologize.
Local Farmer and Business Owner Awarded Honorary Diploma in Cornwall
St. Lawrence College is pleased to announce it will award M. Eleanor McGrath, Farmer, and owner of Springfield Farm Organics in Apple Hill, with an Honorary Diploma. Eleanor will address St. Lawrence College’s graduating students at the 4:30pm Convocation ceremony at Aultsville Theatre on Friday, June 3.
St. Lawrence College to Lift Mask Requirement on Campus June 1
As of June 1, St. Lawrence College will no longer require masks to be worn on campus or in SLC facilities, unless PPE is a requirement of the learning or work environment. The College will continue to provide medical grade masks at security offices on each campus for any SLC students or employees who wish to have one.
Provincial Candidates Urged to Endorse Measures to Strengthen Workforce
Provincial election candidates are being urged to support a post-secondary action plan on climate change and other measures to produce the strong workforce that will be pivotal to recharging Ontario’s economy. 
Kingston Community Organizations Collaborate for Research on Clean Water Technology
SLC Applied Research and Queen’s University have partnered with Purafy Clean Technologies Inc., of Kingston, ON to assess the water and energy saving potential of Purafy’s water treatment system. This multi-dimensional research and development project will last three years, with funding support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and provincial government channels.
